Terms of Service

The service

RURU is an online tool for building, checking and tailoring resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews and tracking job applications. Some features use AI. The software, designs and templates belong to Anil Kumar Bathala (proprietor of RURU); you may use them for your own job search.

Your account

You must be 18 or over and give accurate details. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at support@ruru.ac if you think someone else has used it.

Your content

What you write and upload stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run the service for you (including sending text to our AI provider when you use an AI feature).

You are responsible for what you submit: it must be truthful, yours to use, and lawful. Don't upload other people's personal data without their permission.

AI suggestions

AI suggestions and scores are guidance, not guarantees. They can contain mistakes. Check everything before you send it to an employer. RURU does not promise any interview, job or result.

Plans and payments

RURU has a free plan and a paid plan, RURU Pro, billed monthly or yearly. The full price is shown on the pricing page and before you pay; there are no hidden charges. In India prices are in rupees and include GST where it applies.

Pro renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. In India you pay through a recurring mandate (UPI AutoPay or card) that you approve once with Razorpay; your bank or UPI app sends you a notice at least 24 hours before each renewal charge, and you can stop it there as well as in RURU.

Cancel any time from your account page: you won't be charged again, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are covered by our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays on for 7 days while the payment is retried, then the account returns to the free plan. Your data is never deleted because of a plan change. Our payment provider emails you a receipt for every payment.

Fair use

Pro allowances are generous but limited, to protect the service for everyone. Don't misuse RURU: no automated scraping or bulk use, no attempts to break security, no reselling access, and no unlawful, misleading or harmful content. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why.

Availability

We work to keep RURU available and your data safe, and take regular backups, but we can't promise the service will never be interrupted. Keep your own copy of important documents (you can download them at any time).

Liability

RURU is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other consumer law.

Complaints

Write to our grievance officer, Anil Kumar Bathala, at grievance@ruru.ac. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours with a reference number, and resolve it within one month. You can also contact the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or a consumer commission.

Ending

You can stop using RURU and delete your account at any time. We may end the service for an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of Bengaluru, India, except where consumer law gives you the right to use the courts or consumer commission where you live.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies. Questions: support@ruru.ac.
